Apple Health integration enters beta

For a little over a year now, in addition to the Apple Watch, I have also been using the Whoop fitness tracker, which can sometimes provide more precise information about certain things. It has its strengths especially in the area of sleep tracking and the Apple Watch is charged overnight anyway.

This morning, a notification popped up in the app asking me if I would like to take part in the Apple Health integration beta phase. I’ve been waiting for this feature for a long time, I got a teaser during an interview with a whoop manager. Turning synchronization on is, as usual, a breeze. You can either sync all items or just specific items.

Currently – and I’m a bit disappointed – the integration only supports the import. This means that if you record a workout with the Apple Watch, it will automatically be imported into Whoop. Unfortunately, the export of data and especially of sleep that I wanted is missing (yet). Who knows how this will develop. Are you a Whoop user and have an iPhone? Then see if you can also participate in the beta.
