After Evleaks shared a large number of Galaxy S22 series renderings yesterday, German technology media WinFuture.de once again shared the renders, detailed specifications and price information of the S22 series. Samsung has confirmed that it will hold an Unpacked conference on February 9 to launch three models: Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Galaxy S22
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Galaxy S22 will feature a 6.1-inch 2340x1080px Dynamic AM OLED 2X with variable refresh rate up to 120Hz, maximum brightness of 1500 nits, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone will rely on a 4nm Exynos 2200 chip (at least in Europe) with an octa-core processor, 8GB of RAM, and AMD RDNA 2 graphics. There’s Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and 5G.
The Galaxy S22’s camera setup will include a 50-megapixel (f/1.8, OIS, 1/1.56″, 1.0 micron) primary sensor 23mm wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel (f/2.2, 1/2.55″, 1.44 micron) 13 mm ultra-wide-angle lens and 10-megapixel (f/2.4, OIS, 1/3.94″, 1.0 micron) 69mm 3x telephoto lens. On the front of the body, equipped with a 10-megapixel (f/2.2, 1/3.24″, 1.22 micron) 25mm selfie camera.
The Galaxy S22 will have a 3700mAh battery, and the speed of wired and wireless charging has yet to be determined. The smallest S22 series phone measures 146.0×70.6×7.6 mm and weighs 167 grams. Available in white, green, pink gold and black, prices will be €849 for the 8/128GB model and €899 for the 8/256GB model.
Galaxy S22+
The Galaxy S22+ is basically the same as the S22, but with a bigger screen and battery. It has a 6.6-inch 2340x1080px Dynamic AMOLED 2X with a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz, higher brightness at 1750 nits, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The battery capacity will be 4500mAh.
The camera and chipset configuration is the same as the Galaxy S22. The Galaxy S22+ weighs 195 grams and measures 157.4×75.8×7.64mm. The 8/128GB version of the Galaxy S22+ is priced at 1049 euros and the 8/256GB version is 1099 euros.
Galaxy S22 Ultra
It will have a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with 3080x1440px resolution, a more sophisticated 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 1750 nits, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Hardware-wise, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is similar to the S21 Ultra but is said to be a big improvement in processing. There’s a 108-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with OIS, a 12-megapixel (f/2.2, 1/2.55″, 1.4 micron, autofocus) 13mm ultra-wide, and two 10-megapixel telephoto cameras: A 69mm 3x (f/2.4, 1/3.52″, 1.12µm, OIS), and a 230mm 10x (f/4.9, 1/3.52″, 1.12µm, OIS) periscope.
The selfie camera is a 40-megapixel sensor (1/2.8 inch, 0.7 microns, autofocus) and a 25mm f/2.2 lens. The Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 5000mAh battery, as well as a built-in S Pen, pushing the weight up to 227 grams. The Ultra measures 163.3×77.9×8.9mm. The base 8/128GB model is priced at 1249 euros, the 12/256GB middle model is 1349 euros, and the largest 12/512GB model is 1449 euros.
