Standing still is not good and that is why Google does not rest on its laurels. The camera team is currently being expanded for future pixel cell phones with a Tensor SoC. In the photo area, Google has been offering very powerful cameras in its own Pixel devices for years.
However, there was a real restart with the introduction of the Pixel 6 models. Google now has its own processor, which is much more of a complete system-on-a-chip. This also includes image signal processors, which are often abbreviated as ISP. Google is building a larger team for this.
Image signals should be processed even better
They are currently looking for more employees in the “Camera ISP” area in America. As an employee, you can be part of the team that developed the Google Tensor. Google obviously wants to be even more extensive in this area, hopefully not to repeat the mistakes made by the current Pixel 6 cell phones. There weren’t many of them, but there was sharp criticism for the ultra-wide-angle camera.
