Pixel 6a exists, and it’s all coloring: Google reveals the smartphone in a book

Pixel 6a really exists, and Google itself confirms it. And it does it in a very particular way, hiding it inside a book … coloring. Perhaps not everyone is aware of the existence of Pixel Superfans, a pilot program created by Google in the United States that brings together fans of Pixel smartphones within a community, with the possibility of interacting with other fans, having early access to news. proposed by Big G and participate in dedicated events. Well, recently the Mountain View company sent them a small gift package, containing a Nest Audio and, indeed, a nice coloring book.

But the real surprise is not so much the book, but what Google – deliberately or not – anticipates among its pages. There is a QR code that points to colors.withgoogle.com in case you prefer to color from your PC or mobile device, while those who are more traditional can opt for the good old marker to scribble paper pages. A sort of index appears on page 16, listing all the products shown in the book. And between a Pixel 6 and a Nest Thermostat, here is the brand new Pixel 6a.

It is useless to go to pages 6 and 7 as the list indicates: there is no trace of the smartphone that Google has yet to officially announce. A mistake or a nice trick to whet curiosity? Both are probable: the first because perhaps the book was initially designed to be delivered to Superfans only at a later time after the announcement was made. The second is because, after all, the smartphone is only mentioned, without revealing anything special except its name. Which, following the scheme adopted so far, appears quite logical to be called “Pixel 6a”.

Not to forget that Google has now accustomed us too many more substantial advances than this – whether it is intended or unwanted. Think for example of Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, “announced” (deliberately) by Big G two and a half months before their official presentation.
