We reported a few days ago that Blizzard is developing a AAA survival game with a new universe as the background. However, the projects developed seem to be more than that.
When asked on a recent podcast episode if he knew about the new survival game, Windows Central’s Jez Corden had a surprising answer. “No, no, I mean I thought they were going to release another game last week, I don’t know this one, but I know another one! I don’t want to talk about that right now because I don’t want to cause trouble for anyone.
Central added that Blizzard is currently in a “placating the masses” phase, and they are aware of their many mistakes. While initially skeptical about the influence of new director Mike Ybarra, he heard from his contacts at Blizzard that people at the company are currently exhibiting an “optimism that hasn’t been seen in years.”
How things play out in the end, especially after Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, remains to be seen.
