The Swiss company claims that Samsung Pay infringes its Russian-registered patent for an electronic payment system. In a ruling in October, a Russian court banned Samsung Electronics from importing and selling 61 smartphones in Russia. But the ban did not go into effect due to Samsung’s appeal.

The Swiss company then sought interim court measures to bar Samsung from importing and selling the 61 smartphone models in Russia. But the Moscow Arbitration Court rejected the ban in a Jan. 27 ruling, saying SQWIN SA had failed to prove that Samsung acted in bad faith.

The court’s latest ruling does not end Samsung’s legal dispute with the Swiss company but allows Samsung to continue selling the 61 smartphones, which include not only high-end phones such as the Galaxy Z Flip series and Galaxy S21 series but also Including low-end models like the Galaxy J5.
