In mid-January I picked up a nice new function for WhatsApp: It is now possible to continue listening to voice messages outside of the original chat in Messenger in the iOS beta.
This is very practical if you want to listen to a voice message and call up new text messages in another chat at the same time. Previously, the playback of the voice message was always aborted. Now comes the next step : This feature can now also be used in the beta on WhatsApp Desktop.
The new function has already arrived on macOS for me: I can playback a voice message from my girlfriend and switch to another chat at the same time. Unfortunately, when this function could be widely distributed outside of the beta is still open.
Above you can see what the whole thing looks like: In the bottom left, the audio player for voice messages continues to play even if you leave the chat with the sender. A nice feature that I really appreciate myself.
