Does MIUI not satisfy you? Xiaomi asks you to rate it

Despite the criticism it regularly receives in the presence of problems, it certainly cannot be said that Xiaomi does not reserve a certain degree of attention to its MIUI. Among all the companies in circulation in the Android market, Lei Jun’s is one of those that most gives a voice to her community.

Xiaomi offers its users various tools with which to express their feedback, including beta testing programs, forums and threads dedicated to the software bugs of the latest updates.

And now that we are witnessing the launch of MIUI 13, apparently, Xiaomi has introduced a new and unprecedented method with which users will be able to provide a real evaluation. The development team has updated the Updater app, i.e. the one through which Xiaomi releases its software updates with relative OTA (Over-the-air) notification.

Update that goes hand in hand with that of the Mi Community app, dedicated to exploring the forum and the various discussions created by the users themselves.

With these two updates, MIUI 13 (but also previous versions, or at least MIUI 12.5) introduces this evaluation system. Going to the screen accessible from ” Settings/System info/MIUI version “, in the lower part we see the addition of the word View this version’s rating.

By clicking on it, you access a dedicated screen where we find the evaluations of other users on that release we have installed. You can then decide to also give your own evaluation, with a score ranging from 1 to 10 stars.

The score refers to the stability of the system and we imagine it can be useful in two respects: the first is to allow Xiaomi to know if the released MIUI update is proving to be stable. The second, but it is not yet certain, is also to be able to let users know if the update received has a good rating and then decide whether to install it or not.

However, we do not yet know if it will be possible to see the ratings of others before installation. Also, for the moment, this evaluation system is only available in China. It is not known whether it will also be extended to the West, given the different treatment that Xiaomi implements the China ROMs compared to the Global and EEA ones. Should it also come to us.
