The issue of game exclusivity has plagued gaming fans ever since Xbox Games Studios began accelerating its expansion by acquiring publishers such as Bethesda and Activision Blizzard. Microsoft has shown that they will develop major games into PC/Xbox exclusives, like Bethesda’s upcoming Starry Sky, but have been cautious about the Call of Duty franchise.
Xbox president Phil Spencer recently stated that he hopes more players will play Call of Duty and World of Warcraft in the next five years, which may mean that Call of Duty will not be an Xbox exclusive for the next five years, but will continue to Landing on the PS platform, but also on the Xbox Game Pass.
