We’ve covered the Home Widget app for HomeKit in the recent past. This allows you to target HomeKit devices on iPad or iPhone via custom widgets that you can create and customize (a thing HomeKit should have included).
A good thing, especially since the app is also available as a fair one-time purchase (8.99 euros) – but it can also be used free of charge if you want to try it out first. Now there’s a major update, which I’ll take as an opportunity to point out the app again.
The new version allows sensors to be added to widgets, more widget sizes are supported, you can search for symbols, the GUI has been revised and it is now also possible to start shortcuts via the widget.
