There are only a few differences between the two devices. Camera, RAM configurations and battery. The good news is that internal beta Android 12 tests finally have now started for these phones.
Both phones have an IPS LCD display with a 6.67-inch 1080×2400 resolution. The front and back are covered with Gorilla Glass 5. Devices use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a 6/8 GB RAM option, but POCO M2 Pro comes with lower RAM options. (4/6 GB) Redmi Note 9 Pro’s main camera is 64 MP f/1.9 and POCO M2 Pro’s main camera is 48 MP f/1.8.
Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and POCO M2 Pro have not received an Android 11 based internal MIUI 13 update. There is a chance that the Android 11 based update will be skipped and the Android 12 update will be released directly. Both devices are expected to receive an Android 12 based stable MIUI 13 update until mid-2022 at the latest.
