Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic were already two of the best smartwatches around in Wear OS and beyond, but with the latest update they have reached an even higher level of completeness and software care and now two other small ones have been identified news of the update mentioned.
These two further additions that Samsung has brought to its current reference smartwatches – starting from which, moreover, it has decided to further improve the software support – relate in particular to the functioning of the Google Messages and Slack applications and denote attention to detail heralds of benefits in the daily use of wearables.
In particular, following the installation of the update released on February 9, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch4 have started showing profile images for Google Messagee and Slack. These two, therefore, are added to the other apps that already did the same, such as Gmail.
While previously Google Messages and Slack were limited to showing only the icon in the pop-up notification, now the related notifications are enriched with the profile picture of the sender of the message.
It may seem like a small thing, but in reality, being able to see this information at a glance is extremely convenient for those who receive dozens of notifications every day, especially in light of a non-negligible detail: the function also works with groups, displaying the title of the group and the profile photo of the author of the specific post.
According to what emerged, it seems that the appearance of the described function does not depend on the version of the app installed on the smartwatch, but on the latest system update.
