Street Fighter 6 may use RE engine development

Today Capcom officially announced the Street Fighter 6 game. Although there are few public details, this game is likely to be developed using the RE engine.

Dusk Golem, the proponent of Capcom games who often accurately broke the news, told fans that any major game Capcom will release in at least the next few years will be RE engine development.

The RE engine was first used in the Resident Evil 7 game, and then became the engine of choice for most of Capcom’s games, all subsequent Resident Evil games, Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter: Rise and even The Return of the Classics Magic Village, Capcom Arcade Collection and the sci-fi game Virtual Reality all use the RE engine.

It is worth mentioning that Dusk Golem has previously revealed that Dragon’s Creed 2, which has not been officially announced by Capcom, will also use the RE engine.
