Samsung announces Good Lock 2022: News and downloads

It was 2016 when Samsung announced Good Lock, a popular personalization app now in its latest version 2022. At the time there was the not-so-popular TouchWiz, followed by a more balanced Samsung Experience, while now there is a much more esteemed One UI by Samsung smartphone owners.

With 2022 and Android 12 we have arrived at One UI 4.0, One UI 4.1 is already on the horizon and Samsung has also thought about updating the Good Lock app: let’s see what the news is.

The release of Samsung Good Lock 2022 begins: new modules and more

For the uninitiated, Samsung Good Lock 2022 is the latest version of an app that allows geeks to customize One UI more in-depth. It contains various modules, through which you can change the appearance of the UI and add functions to those present by default.

Every year the app is updated to improve the modules already present and add new ones: let’s see what changes with the 2022 version.

The news of Samsung Good Lock 2022 has been announced by the development team through a post on the official community. Here is the full list:

• The Kids Cafe module is updated, allowing users to create custom stickers for use on the Samsung keyboard
• The Nice Shot module receives a new option with which to add a button to delete screenshots immediately after taking them, as well as backgrounds for selfie videos during screen recording
• A new option for the Wonderland module, being able to create an image with a 3D effect using the photos in Portrait mode and using it as a background on Galaxy devices
• New update for the One-Hand Operation + module, with new gestures for keyboard shortcuts and to improve reachability by moving the screen
• The Sound Assistant module adds new options, including sound effects, filters for the voice during recording and customization of the volume panel (also for DeX mode)
• New for Galaxy Z Flip 3 owners, with the Multistar module that will allow you to use new apps on the external screen
• New option for the Home Up module, allowing users to set up a vertical scrolling app drawer instead of a horizontal one

As announced by the development team, the Samsung Good Lock 2022 roll-out kicks off today and it could take a week before it reaches all compatible models. It is not known whether the update will only concern smartphones with One UI 4 and Android 12. We remind you that you can download the APK file of all modules directly from APKMirror, but we do not guarantee it will work on your Samsung smartphone.
