Apple’s folding Notebook render appear to be expensive

There are reports that Apple is not only working on a foldable iPhone, but is also preparing to launch a MacBook with a 20-inch foldable display. Renders of the foldable MacBook from Antonio De Rosa of well-known graphics studio ADR Studio have been revealed, and the two devices won’t come out until 2025 at the earliest.

At that time, the foldable iPhone will be the first to market, followed by the foldable MacBook. DeRosa’s rendering is called the MacBook Folio, and it looks like a regular MacBook but uses a foldable display for easy portability.

The main display of this foldable MacBook extends all the way to the keyboard portion of the laptop while retaining the physical trackpad. Apple has previously said the company isn’t interested in making touch-screen Macs, but that could be a language art that makes it less embarrassing.

However, some analysts in the industry are still skeptical about whether Apple will launch a foldable MacBook, mainly because the on-screen keyboard is not necessarily suitable for long-term use, and whether the touch feedback is sensitive when typing is also an issue. However, this is only a rendering, and Apple’s actual design may be different from DeRosa’s vision, let’s wait and see.
