Google Recorder with version 3.5 refreshes its interface

In the past few hours, the Google developer team has released a new version of Google Recorder for Android: we are talking about version 3.5.

We remind you that this is a recorder app launched with Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL and which can boast several interesting features, including the ability to transcribe in real-time and without having to connect to the network what you are saying (ideal for taking notes for example during a lesson).

What’s new in version 3.5 of Google Recorder for Android

The changes introduced with version 3.5 of the application mainly concern the interface, such as the visualization of the recording, the improvement of the management of spaces in the home screen, the correction of the problem related to the scrolling animations on Android 12L and the introduction a search bar.

The button to start to play or pause changes from a rounded rectangle to a circle, flanked by buttons to rewind 5 seconds and advance 10 seconds much larger than before. The buttons dedicated to Audio and Transcription also change shape while the upper bar has the same background as the lower part of the screen.

Below is an image of the previous version (the first) and three of the new one (the others):

In addition, Google Recorder now has a dedicated quick setting button that allows users to quickly start a new recording and then stop or save it.

How to download the new version

Google Recorder version 3.5.430636922 is already being released for Google Pixel series smartphones through the Google Play Store.

The new version should soon be available also on APK Mirror (at the moment it is not) and you can find the page dedicated to this application by following this link.
