Windows 11 Settings app is getting Microsoft 365 subscription management integration

In Windows 11 Build 22567 preview builds, we see a more modernized Settings app. Clearly, Mic8Xrosoft wants to work hard to ensure that an alternative to the traditional “Control Panel” does everything users need. In a recent update, the Settings app has integrated the Microsoft 365 subscription management experience.

We’ve introduced details like payments in the Subscriptions tab so users can easily view payment information and receive notifications when needed, so you can manage renewals without interruption, Microsoft wrote.

After the update, you’ll see Microsoft 365 subscription management options at the top of the Windows 11 Settings → Account page, and Microsoft is also using this to promote various free benefits to non-subscription customers.

While some Insider testers see this behavior as an advertisement, Microsoft insists that access information will only be provided based on individual account types.

For non-Microsoft 365 subscription customers, we will highlight some of the free access benefits available on the ‘Your Microsoft Account’ page.

Those in need can directly access your Office Web Apps, view OneDrive online drives, or upgrade your Microsoft 365 subscription to unlock premium benefits.

The above changes are currently only available to a limited number of Insider testers, but Microsoft is also working hard to push it to more people.

If all goes well, the Microsoft 365 subscription management integration in the Settings app is expected to officially arrive later this year.
