In the last few hours, the news that Realme will launch, in April, a new mid-range Android smartphone equipped with a typical feature of OnePlus smartphones: we are talking about the slider alert.
The convenient selector through which it is possible to “switch on the fly” between the device audio mode (silent, vibrating and ringing). If this news were confirmed, it would be the first Realme smartphone to implement the handy alert slider.
Slider alert on Realme: theft or loan?
The fact that Realme exploits such a distinctive feature of OnePlus smartphones would not represent a theft: this is because, both Realme and OnePlus, are companies that are part of the Chinese group BBK Electronics.
The BBK Electronics group is the Chinese giant that produces and sells smartphones under the Vivo, iQOO, OnePlus, OPPO and Realme brands (which is a spin-off of OPPO). All these companies, therefore, share the technological resources available to each other.
The possible reasons for this choice
To understand the reasons for this choice, two considerations may be sufficient:
- Realme is known to be quite a strong brand on the Indian market.
- The slider alert is a feature that appeals to OnePlus users, even on the Indian market.
It seems that the Indian community has a little twisted its nose with respect to the choice of OnePlus not to bring the slider alert on the accessible Nord CE series ; the cheapest solution on the Indian market with which it is possible to enjoy the convenient functionality is represented by the OnePlus Nord 2 , sold on the Indian market starting from 29999 rupees (which correspond to € 358.60 at the exchange rate).
Realme ‘s new mid-range with slider alert should therefore arrive in April, with the ambition of making this convenient feature “popular”, at least on the Indian market. We do not have, at the moment, other information about the technical specifications that the smartphone will be equipped with.
Realme is currently in turmoil for the imminent launch of the Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 5G SE : the two smartphones, respectively equipped with SoC MediaTek Dimensity 810 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G , will be officially presented on March 10th.
