According to the latest reports, Sony Xperia 5 II mobile phone has begun to update to Android 12. Sony has started rolling out the stable Android 12 update for the Xperia 5 II, version 58.2.A.0.899, about 1007MB in size, with the January 2022 security patch.
According to reports, the Android 12 update has gone live for several models of the Xperia 5 II:
- XQ-AS52 (European and Russian versions)
- XQ-AS62 (US version)
- XQ-AS72 (sub-version)
The three models mentioned above are expected to receive an OTA update in the next few days, and the new version of the system will include a new Material You design, an improved quick settings panel, a privacy dashboard, camera and microphone indicators, improved home screen widgets, Long screenshots and more.
Sony Xperia 5 II was launched in September 2020. The machine is equipped with a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, has a 4000mAh battery, and is equipped with a 3.5mm Headphone plug. The phone came pre-installed with Android 10 and was updated to Android 11 last year.
