Chrome 100 Beta finally embraces the Material You

One of the novelties that most catches the eye in Android 12, compared to previous versions, is certainly its renewed interface, combined with the color adaptation functions; the system is perfectly integrated with the Material You, but the same cannot be said for many Big G apps (we told you recently about the widgets and the Material You) that still have to receive support for dynamic themes. Chrome is certainly one of these and, although the integration is obviously still in the works, version 100 of Chrome Beta gives us a little taste of support for dynamic themes.

Chrome 100 Beta timidly begins to integrate the Material You

As you can see from the images below (where you can see the differences between the stable and beta versions), the most striking example of the integration of Material You in Chrome Beta, which is therefore inspired by the colors of the device’s background, can be seen in the top bar overflow menu, as well as in the page refresh animation.

Another small example can be seen in the browser settings page; Google is releasing this news on the server-side, without the need for users to make any updates. Let’s be clear, it’s not much, it’s not a deep integration, but it’s still a starting point to bring Material You and dynamic theme support to Chrome and all the other Big G apps that still don’t have them.
