Google has officially announced that Steam will soon be available for Chrome OS and Chromebooks. Google announced Steam Alpha and also the first technical key data. Steam Alpha comes first on a selection of Chromebooks, which definitely need very powerful hardware.

At least a Core i5 or Core i7 of the 11th generation and no less than 7 gigabytes of RAM. More information will follow soon, according to Google. But this announcement alone is already a big deal because it allows Chrome OS to catch up even further on macOS and especially Windows.
