Pokemon Go The Festival of Colors: A new pokemon and free items

With the start of the new Pokémon GO Alola Season, it’s time for special activities dedicated to the setting that hosts the stories of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. From the Niantic team, comes the announcement of the Festival of Colors, a new special event that will bring with it the entry into the game of an additional Pokémon.

Directly from the Seventh Generation of Pocket Monster, Oricorio is in fact ready to make its way into the mobile title. The creature has a volatile nature, which changes the type of belonging according to the form assumed:

  • Flamenco style Oricorio: red and Flying/Fire-type, it will appear in Europe (remember that Pokémon GO is no longer available in the Russian Federation, following the start of the war in Ukraine), the Middle East, and Africa;
  • Cheerdance style Oricorio: yellow in color and Flying/Electric-type, it will appear in the Americas;
  • Oricorio style Hula: pink in color and of the Flying/Psychic-type, it will appear in the African, Asian, Pacific and Caribbean islands;
  • Buyo style Oricorio: blue in color and Flying/Ghost-type, it will appear in the Asia / Pacific area;

The Pokémon GO Color Festival kicks off at 10:00 on Tuesday 15 March and will last until 20:00 on Sunday 20 March 2022. For the entire period, the Lure Modules will last three hours, while taking several photos, Trainers will be able to run into some pleasant surprises. The luckiest ones will also be able to add a Shiny / Shiny-type Pokémon to their team. New avatar items will also be available for free in the Pokémon GO store.
