Overwatch 2 is about to have its first beta, which now also has an official date set for April 26 for the PC version, while those consoles will arrive later, on a date yet to be specified.
A more precise date, therefore, arrives after the announcement of the release period that emerged in recent days, at least for the PC version.
The console beta does not yet have a specific date but the developers have reported that they are working to “include console players in the future”. Meanwhile, Overwatch 2 is undergoing tests already in this period, currently in the alpha stage limited to a small number of users, mainly developers, pro players and a few others, but will then expand in later stages to include other players.
The first important opening will therefore be on April 26, 2022, the day on which Overwatch 2 can be tried by PC users, obviously in a version that is not yet final and limited, from the point of view of content. The trial version will also be focused on PvP initially, with the PvE section being introduced only at a later time.
In the meantime, the system requirements of the closed beta have also emerged, while we look forward to knowing more precisely the contents that can be tested in this preliminary version from April. Among the innovations planned for the second chapter, there are several reworkings for the heroes and also as regards the organization and structure of the teams in the matches.
