Microsoft recently released the latest Windows 11 Dev preview version 22579 update, which introduces a new policy for IT administrators to exclude USB removable drives from BitLocker encryption. Microsoft has also introduced a good set of changes and improvements, including naming folders in the Start menu, and website suggestions in the Start app, which users can pin to the taskbar. Microsoft has also made some updates to the media player and Your Phone app.
Microsoft also released the official ISO image download of Windows 11 Dev Preview 22579. You can now download the official Windows 11 Insider Preview ISO image for your favorites from the Windows Insider Preview download page.
Users upgrading from Build 22000.xxx or earlier to a newer Dev Channel version using the latest Dev Channel ISO image may receive the following warning message. “They build you are trying to install is Flight Signed. To continue the installation, please enable Flight Signed. If you get this message, press the Enable button, restart your computer, and try the update again.”

How to download Windows 11 ISO images
- To download the Windows 11 ISO image, follow the steps below.
- Sign up here or login to the Windows Insider Program.
- Go to the download page of the Microsoft website.
- Click “Select Version”.
- Select Windows 11 Insider Preview (Dev Channel) – Build 22579
- Select the language (make sure to improve the language given in the Settings app > Language).
- Select “64-bit download”.
