Just a small detail: Google is improving the icon of its clock app

In recent years, Google has constantly changed the icon of its clock app for Android. In the Google Play Store, you can currently see the oldest version of the last few years, namely the model with the black second hand. On the devices, however, there was recently an icon without a second hand. Now Google is once again delivering a fresh update for the clock app icon – quietly and secretly.

Google changes the clock icon: would you have noticed that?

In fact, the changes are small, but they caught my eye immediately over the weekend. Google has actually changed the icon at all points. The outer gray border looks a little thicker. The dial now has an outer blue ring and a slight gradient in the center with added white.

The pointers are now smaller and, above all, significantly shorter. The previous icon on the left (Pixel 6, Android 12 Feb 22) and the new icon on the right (Pixel 6 Pro, Android 12 QPR3):

Otherwise, there were no changes within the app, at least I couldn’t see any.
