Nintendo Switch recently received the new 14.0.0 update for the system software, but this also includes an update for the Joy-Con that may not have been noticed, so let’s see how to update the controllers.
We have seen that the Nintendo Switch 14.0.0 update has brought several new features, but among these, there is also a new firmware for the Joy-Con, executable by following these instructions:
- From the main menu, select System Settings and then Controllers and Sensors on the left side
- Scroll down to Update controllers and click on the option
At this point, all that remains is to wait for the operation to finish automatically by following the instructions on the screen. There is no precise information on what this update entails for Joy-Con, but we imagine it has to do with an improvement in the stability of the wireless signal or in other aspects such as response to commands, motion sensors or vibration.
For the rest, the 14.0.0 update brought with it some rather obvious innovations for Nintendo Switch such as the ability to group games and apps in folders visible on the dashboard and an update for audio via Bluetooth, whose compatibility for devices was introduced with the Nintendo Switch update 13.0.0.
