Nintendo Switch: The new Kirby is very well received

Although Nintendo itself has not yet published any sales figures for “Kirby and the Lost Land” for the switch, the first 3D title in the series has been very well received in some countries and is already breaking various Kirby records.

For example, with almost 400,000 units, it was by far the strongest launch in Japan since Kirby games existed. And in the UK, the game is once again dominating the charts and is already the 4th best-selling Kirby game.

And it’s been available for just two weeks.

The new Kirby was released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch at the end of March and can be purchased for less than 50 euros. I’ve already played it, but I’m not through yet. For me, it’s definitely the best Kirby title so far.

Kirby now a top 10 candidate?

Could Kirby and the Forgotten Land even become a top 10 title for the Nintendo Switch? Difficult, because the latest figures show that you will soon need 15 million units to secure such a place.

For me, the Nintendo Switch got another “best title of the series” candidate here and who knows how that will develop in the spring. The new Kirby could maybe take the series to a level like Pokémon or Mario.
