First, Samsung’s flagship foldable smartphone released last year was too bulky compared to ordinary smartphones. Second, the device’s camera experience is less than ideal. Looking forward to the Galaxy Z Fold4 in 2022, we don’t expect it to change much in shape design, but it will at least resolve the above two pain points.
Interestingly, Anthony broke the news on Twitter that the Galaxy Z Fold4 may be the first to adopt a unique single-hinge design to replace the current dual-hinge scheme. If so, the new phone is expected to become thinner and lighter. As for whether it will help improve the durability of the phone, it remains to be seen.
In addition, another rumor from a few weeks ago said that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will have a built-in stylus storage slot, and the shape design is not much different from last year’s Galaxy Z Fold3. In terms of camera specifications, Galaxy Club detailed in a report, saying that the Galaxy Z Fold4 will use the same 10MP front-facing selfie camera as the Galaxy S22 series.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to increase the optical zoom performance from 2X to 3X by reducing the pixels of the sensor, and the main camera/ultra-wide-angle lens is also expected to increase to 50MP/12MP.
