Gurman: The new MacBook Air 2022 is coming soon and iOS 16 beta code leaks Apple Headset/rOS system

After Apple announced that it will hold the WWDC22 Global Developer Conference on June 7, is expected to release iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 and many other system new products. Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman updated some related hardware and software revelations today.

Gurman said apple originally had a big plan to release a mixed reality headset on WWDC22, but the news said that Apple changed its mind and will announce the product at the end of this year or next year.

So a full launch of mixed reality hardware devices in June is unlikely, but the sources believe that the beta version of iOS 16, codenamed Sydney, mentions Apple headsets, including content that interacts with the iPhone.

Apple expects to preview some of the upcoming augmented and virtual reality software in advance. Perhaps also preview rOS (short for Reality Operating System) that supports mixed reality headsets earlier.

Gurman said iOS 16 was notified of the update, but not redesigned. The planned redesigned iPad app switcher (the new iPadOS multitasking interface) is coming, and health and fitness upgrades are coming soon.

Gurman said two new Macs will launch in the middle or early second half of the year. One of them could be the new MacBook Air 2022.

Other models under development include the updated Mac mini and 24-inch iMac, as well as the low-end MacBook Pro, which replaces aging 13-inch models. New Mac Pro and iMac Pro models are also under development.

Apple iOS 16 (codename: Sydney), watchOS 9 (codename: Kincaird), macOS 13 (codename: Rome) and tvOS 16 (codename: Paris) will obviously be the highlights of the WWDC22 conference.
