The Expert RAW camera app is reportedly a cross-team project for Samsung, with the goal of giving users full control of their phone cameras like professional photographers, improving the mobile photography experience.

Samsung said that in order to improve the overall camera experience, Samsung worked closely with Adobe to closely integrate Expert RAW with Lightroom. Give photographers full control over their creative experience. Novice photographers can also take advantage of automatic settings for camera control and then use Samsung-specific presets in Lightroom.

The app allows users to use Pro mode to take advantage of the Samsung Galaxy S21/22 Ultra’s main camera, ultra-wide angle, 3x telephoto and 10x telephoto cameras, users can get exposure, focus, ISO, shutter speed and white balance controls, and also let you adjust highlights, shadows, saturation and hue. Users can use histograms and save images in lossless JPG and 16-bit linear DNG RAW formats.
