The driver of a white Tesla Model 3 last weekend nearly risked taking him and his car for a swim past the port of Dana Point in Orange County, California, simply because he accidentally accelerated instead of braking while parking. In the absence of enough time to correct the error, thanks to the acceleration of the Model 3, he ended up on a pile of large rocks placed as a barrier between the parking lot and the sea.

Relief then came thanks to Dana Point Police Services, the local authorities who finally used a chain to save the Tesla. The extent of the damage suffered by the car is not known, but it is almost certain that the front end suffered a hard blow by slamming into the rocks; anyway, we suspect that repairing the electric vehicle will prove to be quite expensive.
