Claim: Fortnite will now gain some players. Microsoft has partnered with Epic Games to bring Fortnite to supported browser-enabled devices for free with Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) in 26 countries. This means that starting today, players only need two things to play in cloud-supported markets (like Germany):
- A Microsoft account
- An iOS, iPadOS, Android phone or tablet, or a Windows PC with internet access
No installation or membership is required, all you have to do is go to Xbox.com/play in your web browser and sign in with your Microsoft account to play with friends. According to Microsoft, more free-to-play titles will follow in the future.
