Google Assistant adds a new Your vehicles section in the settings

Google Assistant plays a leading role in both small innovations we are talking about today: the first relates to the application of Assistant and, more precisely, to the settings for a new function recently introduced; the second, on the other hand, involves him in a simpler reorganization of the Google app.

A few days ago we talked about the Mountain View giant due to the release of Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3, the restyling of Google News in Material You, the upcoming launch of the Google Pixel Buds Pro, but also for the improvement of Nearby Share and for the help Google Assistant offers for changing insecure passwords. Today, as mentioned, we are dealing with the virtual assistant of Big G.

Google Assistant now shows “Your vehicles”

Last March, in bringing you a long list of news for Google services and applications, we also mentioned the new ability of Google Assistant which allows users to pay for parking via voice commands using Google Pay .

This interesting novelty debuted in the United States and can now also count on a new section in the Assistant settings called “ Your vehicle registration details for parking ”. This page collects useful information such as the user’s vehicle license plate number added to Google Assistant, Maps or Google Pay , which is required by the new parking function for payment purposes.

Furthermore, through the same section, the user has the right to delete or modify each vehicle saved or to add a nickname, as well as obviously being able to add others. Unfortunately, as with the main novelty, even this change is currently limited to the USA only.

Google app: Assistant at the top of the list

The second change is of a minor nature: the Google App, which has just received a small update in beta (13.17), has seen the Settings menu reorganized: now Google Assistant is the first item listed, while the General settings of the app are even placed under Notifications and Voice.
