Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 with faster charging and Galaxy S23 Ultra with 200MP sensor

The expectation is growing for the next generation of Samsung -branded folding smartphones, expected during the summer. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 will renew the offer of the manufacturer in this particular segment of the market and should enjoy a further evolutionary step, both in terms of build quality and in terms of specifications.

Recently, the details relating to the batteries that will house the two smartphones have been leaked while today we learn of what, in all probability, will be the speeds with which the next folds can be recharged. Leaving aside the folds, it seems that Samsung is working on a 200-megapixel sensor for the next top-of-the-range “classic” Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4: details on charging appear

Exactly a week ago, we brought you the news that the next Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 should be equipped with a battery pack capable of offering, overall, a capacity of 3400 mAh, greater than 100 mAh compared to the current Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G (which stops at 3300 mAh).

Relying on what was shared on his Twitter profile by the Indian leaker Mukul Sharma, we learn about the charging speed of the next Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. The image comes from the 3C certification body and reports that the next two Samsung-branded folding smartphones will both support fast charging at 25 W, however far from the 45 W available to the South Korean manufacturer (which implemented it in the current top of the range Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G).

The next generation of the clamshell folding, therefore, is expected to get a boost over its predecessor, whose charging speed stops at 15W, allowing users to recharge it faster.

The folding book, Galaxy Z Fold4, on the other hand, would not gain anything: it would remain “stationary” at fast charging at 25 W; among other things, the smartphone should be equipped with a double battery, capable of reaching a capacity of 4400 mAh, also keeping this figure unchanged compared to the predecessor Galaxy Z Fold3 5G.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with 200MP camera?

The hunt for megapixels by smartphone manufacturers continues; it seems that Samsung is tired of staying still at the “only” 108 megapixels of the main camera present on the last three flagship smartphones, Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G and that it has a sensor in store 200 megapixels, in development to be able to debut with the next Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The news was reported by the Business Korea newspaper, which emphasizes how this move by Samsung should be interpreted as a response to Apple which, in the fall, will introduce the iPhone 14 Pro with updated cameras that could raise the bar compared to the past. However, there is no confirmation that what is supposed to be true.

If this rumor is found, for the first time in four years Samsung would change the specifications of the main camera of its flagship smartphone: in return, to manage such a volume of pixels, Samsung will have to improve the performance of key components such as memories. . This, however, may not be a problem thanks to the new UFS 4.0 memories recently announced by the South Korean manufacturer.

In fact, the South Korean manufacturer had already presented a 200-megapixel sensor last year; now it seems that Samsung is developing these sensors in parallel, with its Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics divisions, and has also already shared a roadmap with major customers to update them on the possible availability of the sensor.
