In 2019 they received 750,000 job applications, which increased to 2.25 million in 2020, triple the number in 2019. Last year’s 3 million copies also increased by nearly 750,000 copies from 2020.
Although Tesla has received millions of job applications in the past two years, not all job seekers have obtained Tesla jobs, and the percentage of job seekers who have finally entered Tesla jobs is also very low. Tesla disclosed in its impact report that by the end of last year, it had nearly 100,000 employees worldwide, far below the number of job applications.
As with the surge in job applications, Tesla’s global workforce has grown significantly from 2019 to 2021. At the end of 2019, Tesla had 48,000 full-time employees worldwide, which increased to 70,700 in 2020 and 99,000 at the end of last year.
