Google Pixel Notepad is said to have been postponed again

Samsung, Huawei, Honor, Oppo, and Vivo have all launched foldable phones in the past few years. And Google wants to get involved too, since last year we’ve been hearing about a foldable Google Phone.

Now the South Korean magazine The Elec, citing its own sources, claims that the Pixel Fold aka Pixel Notepad has been delayed again. More specifically, the source claimed that Google planned to launch the device in Q4 2022. But even this appointment should not be kept.

If confirmed, we wouldn’t see a Google-made foldable Pixel until 2023 at the earliest. The shift is likely due to the fact that the Pixel Fold “isn’t as complete as Google would like.”

A lot can go wrong with a foldable phone, e.g. B. that the foldable display is too fragile, the hinge does not work properly and there is a large crease on the main display when opened. So it wouldn’t surprise us if Google actually takes more time to get everything right.
