PS4: Sony will support the console with new games for another three years

PS4 will see the release of new games produced by Sony for another three years: according to the document published in the past few hours by the Japanese house, console support will run out by 2025.

Focused on investments in new intellectual properties and live services, PlayStation will not abandon its former flagship overnight, of course: we are still talking about a platform that has sold 117 million units so far.

Although the policy of cross-gen productions has so far surprised PlayStation 4 owners positively, especially after Jim Ryan’s words about the generations, at some point this approach will end and Sony will devote itself exclusively to PlayStation 5.

Or rather, it will dedicate itself to PS5 for about 50% of the releases, to the PC for 30% and to the mobile market for the remaining 20%: a cake that obviously leaves no room for PS4 three years from now, although probably the console it will continue to be supported by some third parties.
