Call of Duty: The agreement between Sony and Activision will not expire before 2025/26

The agreement between Sony and Activision for the Call of Duty saga will not expire before 2025 or 2026 as indicated by Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker. Specifically, via Twitter, Henderson said: “Sony’s deal lasts for the next three games, I think. Modern Warfare II, Warzone 2 and Treyarch’s game.

So if Microsoft lives up to Sony’s existing agreements, as it said. would have done, nothing should change until Call of Duty of 2025/2026 (depending on when that game is released). ”

Henderson’s comment comes in response to another tweet, which reported that Modern Warfare II rumors coming to Game Pass since D1 was fake. Henderson claims, however, that he “believes” that Sony’s agreements are such. There is no certainty in all this, given that we always and in any case talk about rumors and nothing more.

Another thing that the leaker suggests is that it is not certain that Call of Duty is destined to remain an annual production. Modern Warfare II will be out this year and Warzone 2, according to rumors, will arrive around the same time.

Treyarch’s game is expected to be the next Premium title in the COD saga: the release would be set for 2023 if the annual release followed. Henderson says, however, that the game following Treyarch’s should arrive between 2025 and 2026. Somewhere, therefore, there should be at least a year without Call of Duty.

Speaking of the present, Call of Duty is hosting a 100km run for charity, inside Warzone.
