OpenSea gets a makeover: New graphics to improve the user experience

Closed for renovation. Any physical shop would display this sign, in the window, if it were to deal with some renovation of the interiors and of the display. All this does not happen for OpenSea, an NFT-themed marketplace that is redesigning the platform, also to try to counter a sales trend that recently gave less satisfactory results than in the past.

No hands of white on the walls or new arrangement of the furnishings, but collections and pages of the profile are being updated, to try to capture new (and more) customers. Since last September, we remind you, there is also an official app for iOS and Android available to users.

The main objective of this renovation is to redesign the interface so that users can navigate the site more easily. In recent days, the same company had communicated to visitors that these types of changes represent only the beginning of a series of more radical changes.

LOOK AT SOCIAL

According to experts, the new general aspect that OpenSea is trying to give itself could closely resemble that of some famous social networks. Other tweaks also involved the sections in which NFTs are collected, modifying the distribution and relevance of certain information compared to the past.

Graphic result aside, the initiative was carried out at a time when the market, for OpenSea, was reserving very little satisfaction. Over the past year, NFT sales have declined, often very quickly.

This does not affect the dominant position of the platform in the sector, but the numbers compared to the previous months speak for themselves. It is not just a question of OpenSea: it is a bit of the whole Non-Fungible Token market that is feeling a little tired. A trend that could have very different roots than the graphics and online experience of users.
