Despite the enormous success of Instagram, its team of developers continues to work on improving the platform, in order to “keep the competition at bay” and guarantee users an experience that is ever richer and more customizable.
And it is precisely the aspect of personalization that plays a fundamental role in some of the changes that the Instagram team is working on, which has decided to focus in particular on how the profile looks.
Two small news coming to Instagram
According to what was discovered by Alessando Paluzzi , the developers of this popular social network are working on the possibility of cutting out the way posts appear on their profiles:

This possibility should be particularly appreciated by those users who like to take care of the appearance of their profiles, combining the thumbnails of each image on the profile so that when visited it looks like a single photo divided into many pieces or focusing on a specific aspect of a ‘image.
Another novelty that the team of Instagram developers is working on has been unearthed by Salman Memon: it is the possibility of establishing the aspect ratio for the thumbnails of the photos on your feed.
In practice, users may soon have the possibility to have on the profile not only the current square images but also with an aspect ratio in 4: 5, that is a little elongated (more suitable, for example, for portraits):

Both of these features are currently being tested and there are no guarantees that in the future they will actually be made available to all users through their implementation in a stable version of the app (in fact, it often happens that the new features tested end up being set aside) even if it is likely, in any case, that in the coming months the possibilities for personalization for users will increase.
