Miracles do sometimes happen, and that includes long-awaited features in popular apps and services. In the past few months, word has gotten that Twitter users should finally be able to edit their tweets afterward. A comparable feature should soon land on WhatsApp. It is currently under development.
You have to be patient as a user. Just because a feature like this shows up doesn’t mean it’s going to be available very soon. But we can at least assume that WhatsApp has firmly planned the feature for the future. In the future, we should be able to edit sent messages afterward. For example, to correct spelling mistakes.
As things stand today, there probably won’t be an edit history to check previous versions of edited messages. But as this new feature is still in development, these plans may change before the feature is actually released to us users.
