Big Google Pixel update brings numerous improvements and bug fixes to the Pixel smartphones

It was a good evening for all Pixel users because yesterday Google not only rolled out the Android security update and the new Pixel Feature Drop but also announced a Pixel update with a whole bunch of improvements. This month’s Pixel Update is particularly extensive and fixes numerous problems and weaknesses in smartphones – it’s also coming on time for Pixel 6 users.

The update launched yesterday evening came in three tranches for Pixel users, but they are rolled out or activated at the same time: First, the Android security update with its usual bug fixes and patched gaps. Then of course the Pixel Feature Drop, which has been rolled out quarterly for a long time, with some new functions for everything to do with smartphones and apps. The third part is the Google Pixel update.

The Pixel Update is part of the security update every month, but this month it’s the biggest it’s been in a long time, fixing numerous issues and vulnerabilities in Pixel phones. Depending on the generation of the device, there may be more or fewer updates, but overall you can probably look forward to increased stability. This also gives hope to Pixel 3a users, who will be provided with another major update next month, which will certainly include something from this collection.

Below you will find the list of the individual updates published by Google, sorted by category. Incidentally, the update should not be confused with the Google System Update, which was rolled out last week and reaches all users in the Android ecosystem. The next pixel update will come in early July, the next system update will probably be next week and the next pixel feature drop is expected in September.
