In the last few days, I stumbled across a pious wish from a user. It’s about the Pixel Launcher and a part of it that some people want an extension for. And I’m fully on the side of the users who have just expressed their wishes.
It’s all about the dock bar at the bottom of the screen, which has a maximum of space for five apps/folders side by side. There you usually put the apps that you like and use very often.
Now the wish: Some would be happy if this bar became a carousel and could be scrolled sideways. Other launchers have been offering this for some time. The user could quickly make even more apps available via this bar by scrolling sideways.
Which I think is a good idea, at least as an option. Sometimes Google borrows good ideas from the community and other apps. Wait and hope – or rely on alternatives like Nova Launcher.
