Diablo Immortal records the best launch in the history of the series with over 10 million downloads

Blizzard announced that Diablo Immortal recorded the biggest launch in the franchise’s history just seven days after launch. The title for PC and mobile devices iOS and Android have been downloaded and installed by over 10 million players worldwide.

An excellent debut no doubt about it, although the comparison with the previous games in the series leaves the time it finds, given the free-to-play nature of Immortal and the pool of potential users of the mobile segment to which it can draw.

In any case, this is a really good start, especially if we consider the numerous criticisms of the community on the monetization system of the game, considered too invasive and predatory in the endgame. It must be said, however, that all the contents of Diablo Immortal are accessible even without spending a euro and overall the game has indisputable qualities, as explained in our tried and tested Diablo Immortal.

Now it remains to find out how Blizzard will decide to make the game evolve over time: a constant release of content and painstaking support, perhaps going to solve the criticalities of the monetization system, could certainly help to further grow the player base and at the same time involve players who have already installed Diablo Immortal for a long time.
