Apple still plans to update iPad Pro in fall 2022, report says

Despite rumors of a 14.1-inch version in 2023, Apple still plans to bring an update to its iPad Pro lineup in the fall, a report says, insisting new models are on the way. On June 9, it was rumored that Apple was working on creating a new, larger iPad Pro model that would combine a 14.1-inch mini LED display with an M2 chip.

While the iPad Pro is said to be ready for an early 2023 release, it’s thought the current size options will still be updated in 2022. In Bloomberg’s “Power On” newsletter, Mark Gurman wrote that despite the prospect of a 14.1-inch model, there are no plans to discontinue production of its 11-inch iPad Pro or 12.9-inch iPad Pro models.

Gurman believes that the new iPad Pro models will be released in September or October, and there is a high probability that they will be launched during the Apple conference event window in the fall.

As for what we can expect from the new iPad Pro? Its updates should include an M2 chip upgrade, MagSafe wireless charging, and an upgrade to the camera system. The forecast reiterates a claim he made earlier in 2022.

Other updates could include the introduction of a glass back in the design, and the introduction of a mini LED backlight for the 11-inch iPad Pro model.
