eFootball: Konami has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with AC Monza

Konami has announced that it has reached a multi-year collaboration agreement between AC Monza, a team recently promoted to Serie A for the first time in its history, and eFootball. The Japanese publisher will become the “Official Football Videogame Partner” starting from the 2022/23 football season. Of course, the team will be present in all future updates of the eFootball series.

The partnership will include numerous marketing activities, legendary footballers and eSports rights. To kick off the partnership, KONAMI has made a full 3D scan of the AC Monza squad and the Club will be part of the new KONAMI eSport competition that will start in Italy next season.

Historic football club founded in 1912, AC Monza was bought in 2018 by Fininvest SpA – Silvio Berlusconi’s holding – an extraordinary event for the city. The arrival of Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani brought great enthusiasm in the face of the incredible results achieved in the past by the duo at the helm of Milan.

The announcement of this partnership by KONAMI for eFootball is just the latest in a series of important agreements with Italian clubs such as AS Roma, SS Lazio, SSC Napoli, Atalanta BC and, more recently, AC Milan.

Naoki Morita, President at Konami Digital Entertainment BV, commented: ” Thanks to the new partnership with AC Monza, we are convinced that we can reach an even larger number of fans and players, in Italy and beyond. We look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration.

Adriano Galliani, CEO of AC Monza, adds: ” It is a great honor to join the other top Italian and international clubs that already collaborate with Konami. This agreement allows AC Monza to expand its brand around the world and we are convinced that both parties will greatly benefit from the partnership.
