Samsung is the leading manufacturer of foldable smartphones. But like all other manufacturers, Samsung is still struggling with the visible kink of the foldable smartphones. But things seem to be improving with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

A new leak from a tipster shows that the main display of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also feature a visible crease running vertically along the hinge. However, it is much less visible than on the predecessor, as can be seen in a direct comparison.

So Samsung definitely improved the crease and it’s less obvious now. But slowly the manufacturers should finally get this “problem” solved.

It’s not like the display fold can’t be removed. Brands like Oppo and Motorola have already found a way around it. These Chinese companies have introduced a “teardrop” hinge that closes the hinge while creating more space inside the hinge, reducing the kink and creating no gap in the hinge.

The crease in Samsung’s foldable devices comes from the company’s hinge design. It has a tight radius that makes it difficult to avoid the crease. However, according to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a new hinge design that uses fewer mechanical components. The hinge is said to be similar to Oppo and Motorola’s “teardrop” hinge.
