Gran Turismo 7: Update 1.17 trailer, three new cars, a track and new menus for Café

Polyphony Digital has announced the arrival of a new patch for Gran Turismo 7 . Let’s talk about update 1.17 which adds three new cars, a track and new menus for Gran Turismo Café. The Gran Turismo 7 update will be available from 8:00 CET tomorrow, June 23, 2022. We can also see a dedicated trailer, above.

The cars arriving with Gran Turismo 7 update 1.17 are:

  • Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special ’98
  • Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.3 version)
  • 1932 Ford Roadster

Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak Special ’98 returns to the series after a decade and is described as “an exceptional car specially designed to race in the inclement conditions of a time trial”. Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.3 version) “extensively modified to fit within the Gr.3 regulations, it is the embodiment of Suzuki’s motoring expertise.” The 1932 Ford Roadster, on the other hand, is a tribute to the American custom car scene.

The new track is Watkins Glen International, “located in upstate New York, approximately 260 miles northwest of New York City, opened in 1956 in a hilly area.” It is explained that this is a course that opens with fast sections with medium and high-speed curves, followed by a section of tight and technical curves.

The following 3 extra menus have been added to Gran Turismo Café:

  • Toyota Collection 86: Available from Collector Level 20
  • Honda Type R Collection: Available from Collector Level 20
  • Rotary Engine Collection: Available from Collector Level 32

Gran Turismo 7 has been at the center of various criticisms recently, with Champion Valerio Gallo leaving the game in controversy.
