Firefox 102.0 officially released

New update for the popular browser Firefox. Mozilla is now lifting that to version 102, but the changes themselves are quite manageable. For example, reading PDFs in high-contrast mode has been improved.

Geoclude is now used on Linux if your system supports geolocation. Various streaming providers – including services primarily used in the USA (HBO Max, Funimation, Dailymotion, Tubi, Disney+ Hotstar and SonyLIV) – support subtitles in Picture-in-Picture mode.

Firefox 102 now hosts a company policy to initially place downloads in a temporary operating system folder instead of the Downloads folder. Saved files (that have not been opened) still end up in Firefox’s Downloads folder.

You can now also filter for style sheets in a separate “Style Editor” tab. Firefox also now supports TransformStreams. You can read the full changelog here. The update will come to you automatically. If you are interested in going fresh with Firefox, you can get the Firefox download here.
