According to reports, the mass production of the iPhone 14 has started, and a number of Apple suppliers have already started shipping related parts. According to a paid article on DigiTimes, it reads: “According to internal sources. Component suppliers have begun shipping for the next-generation iPhone lineup scheduled for September.”
Among Apple’s suppliers, Samsung reportedly shipped around 80 million OLED panels, with less than half expected to be in cheaper models. In addition, in terms of battery capacity of the iPhone 14 model, the largest is the iPhone 14 Max.
Based on the battery capacity of the previously exposed iPhone 14 models, the iPhone 14 Max is expected to have the largest battery. We might see Apple introduce a 48-megapixel main rear camera for the first time, and rumor has it that the sensor will be exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
This year’s iPhones will support 8K video recording, as well as autofocus support for ultra-wide-angle cameras. On top of that, the premium version has reportedly undergone dramatic design changes, including removing the bangs and replacing them with a “pill + punch” cutout to increase screen real estate.
Apple may also switch to titanium bodies for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, making them more durable than previous models that relied on stainless steel and aluminum chassis. With multiple changes to the iPhone 14 lineup, Apple no doubt wants its supply chain to be ready for any outcome, including one that can be mass-produced.
